Jasmine+Kevin's Love Story

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Jasmine + Kevin on winning the wedding package. I cannot wait to photograph their big day this July! Here is their love story that Jasmine submitted just in time for Valentine's Day {which I thought was incredibly lovely timing}!


Our Love Story|Jasmine + Kevin

"Ok I will start off with how we met… Kevin and I met back in 8th grade. We both were in the same class and I think it was kind of a “hey wanna be my girlfriend/boyfriend?” kind of deal. Haha. We both honestly had no idea it would last this long and turn into the kind of unconditional love we have towards each other now. At the end of our 8th grade, Kevin moved up north to Antigo with his father. It was really hard to deal with living so far away from each other, especially since we were both so young, we couldn’t even drive. We give lots of thanks to our parents, for meeting half way about every other weekend so we could spend time together. It probably wouldn’t have worked out if it wasn’t for them.

After a long 3 ½ to 4 years, we graduated High School and Kevin moved to Waupaca. It felt so nice to be able to see each other every day! We didn’t know how it would work out, we either could love it and love being around each other all the time, or hate it… Well, we loved it, thank GOD! I mean, don’t get me wrong, we have our arguments, but it’s never anything major. It’s usually about who’s doing the dishes or feeding the cats, something little like that.

After a whole 8 years of being together, Kevin finally proposed to me!!! It was on New Years Eve 2011. I had to work that night and he had off. When I got home, I was so tired from working all day so we didn’t do much. But we watched the countdown on tv. As we counted down to midnight, he got down on his knee with the beautiful ring and asked me. It was the best moment in my life! Of course I said yes and cried with joy! So now we are happily planning our wedding on July 21st 2012.

I do not know where my life would be without Kevin. I know we are both still young, and we have never really been with anyone else, but I know he is the one…He has been there for me when I needed him the most, given me advice, and just makes my days brighter…He’s my best friend, and I can not wait to spend the rest of my life with him!
I think we deserve the free wedding session because, as you probably know, weddings cost a lot of money, especially if you would like a good photographer, which clearly, you are!  Well, Kevin and I are paying for most of the wedding ourselves and we both work very hard for our money…Any help we can get would be greatly appreciated. This would help us out a ton and in the end, we would have beautiful pictures to always look back and remember it by."

Justina+Brian|WI Dells Wedding

justina + brian were married in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony last August in the Dells.  guests took a boat to their ceremony location; while we were lucky ducks {pun intended} and took a historic wisconsin duck to the ceremony.  a breathtaking location, unique transportation, and a black + white theme all contributed to their perfect ceremony which was followed up with yet more gorgeousness at their reception at Buffalo Phil's {where the beautiful bride & much of the bridal party was employed}.  a donut cake, black + white satin wrapped chairs, amazing centerpieces, one of the couple's favorite bands playing during the cocktail hour, a delicious meal, rockin' dj, and a couple whose love radiates from one another made every minute of their day both extraordinarily special and unique.  congratulations to Mr. + Mrs. Rowland.  i wish the two of you and your gorgeos children a lifetime of happiness.

ashley+luke were married last august in a beautiful ceremony.  it truly was a beautiful day.  gorgeous bride, amazing weather, lavish dress, amazing cathedral, and a super fun reception.  here are two of my favorites from their day {wich again were done many months ago, i am just neglectful to my blog and am playing catch up}

better late than never, right?  i admittedly forget about my blog way too often. 

matt + ashley were married at the end of july in marshfield, wi {their wedding photos were edited within a week of their weddings, not a full 5 months later like this blog post would lead one to believe}.  the rain held off throughout their ceremony, but arrived just in time for us to be ready to head outside for some post-ceremony pictures.  thankfully, with the help of umbrellas and the grace of God, we managed to get out of church without being soaked, made it to Hudson's for drinks and the rain cleared just in time for us to be able to get some shots downtown marshfield before dinner.

back in March i traveled to Wisconsin Dells to meet with a potential 2011 couple and as long as we were making the trip, i figured it made perfect sense to shoot their engagement session at the same time.  this gave them a chance to get to know me a little and to have a preview of my work.  it all worked out just as i had hoped, i fell in love with them and they decided to book me for their August wedding.  there are some couple's who have amazing chemistry that shines through and Justina + Brian are definitely one of those couple's.  the love they have for one another is extraordinarily apparent.  i cannot wait to shoot their wedding this August, i am expecting to be blown away by the details of their day!!

{Ashley+Luke=Devin|Family Session}

as i said earlier, ashley + luke are one of my 2011 weddings and their engagement session {which was a TON of fun} was a combination of a family session and a toddler session as well.  prior to heading into the city to shoot the majority of their engagement photos, we met up at Ashley's mom's house to do a few e-photos, and all of their family pictures and some of Devin too.  We had great weather {although it could've been a little warmer} and a great lighting for their session.  Here are a few favorites from my time with them.

A FEW WEEKS AGO, I MET UP WITH ASHLEY + LUKE TO SHOOT THEIR ENGAGEMENT SESSION.  THIS WAS ACTUALLY AN E-SESSION, FAMILY SESSION, AND TODDLER SESSION ALL ROLLED INTO ONE.  AND I AM PLEASED TO SAY IT WAS ONE OF MY FUNNEST SESSIONS SO FAR!  I CANNOT WAIT TO PHOTOGRAPH THEIR SPECIAL DAY THIS AUGUST.  HERE ARE A FEW FROM THE ENGAGEMENT PORTION OF THEIR SESSION.

due to my blondeness.....and switching things up with our company emails, i no longer have access to our original blog.  i have tried everything i can think of to get into it, but with no luck.  so here we go again with a new blog.....and let me say, so far i like this one better anyway.  i guess karma is in my favor today.  besides losing the password/login for my blog over the past month(s), i have been super busy putting together promo materials and attempting to grow Absolute Bliss into my dream of a full-time career.  i've done several promo sessions and also have been fortunate enough to book a :twinkle toes: client, shoot a toddler session, and book a few weddings for this summer {one of which already had their e-session} so with all these sessions edited, it is now time to get this blog up and rolling.  hope i don't annoy you with all the posts to come.  it's been a busy few weeks for me and well, i am way behind in blogging from before then anyway.
